Get mental health care digitally, on-demand

New service provides a one-on-one relationship with a registered mental health professional through digital messaging

BEACON, Canada’s only digital mental health care provider, has expanded its digital services to help Canadians reduce symptoms of anxiety, depression and PTSD.

“There’s a significant gap in mental health care between people needing treatment and access to effective services,” says Dr. David Gratzer, psychiatrist at The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health. “Many communities have insufficient availability of qualified mental health professionals that can provide diagnosis and treatment services. Digital solutions that provide evidence-based care, like Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, is a critical piece to overcoming this challenge.”

For $500, BEACON provides a one-on-one relationship with a registered mental health professional through digital messaging. The therapist guides the user through a personalized course of treatment that uses the proven approach of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) to help reduce symptoms.

For an addition $300, users can consult with a psychologist by phone regarding in-depth personal assessment and a detailed clinical diagnosis report which can be shared withyour health care provider or insurer.

The platform can be accessed by computer or mobile device, eliminating common barriers to care including stigma, long wait times and geography.
